Diversion
Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) and Environmental

NVH:

Laboratory test:

- European global specification applicable to High Frequency squeal type noise occurrences for passenger car vehicles

- Universally recognized test sequences that identify the propensity of a brake assembly to generate brake noise under a set of defined conditions

- A disc brake matrix is defined to describe the test conditions and steps to investigate the influence of pressure , temperature and speed on squeal noise behavior

- Procedures can incorporate a cold section for brake noise analysis that satisfies this requirement and provides a practical evaluation

Environmental Testing:

- As NVH may occur in different climatic conditions it may also be useful to investigate the effect of varying temperature and humidity's on brake NVH performance.

- Temperature and humidity can be controlled within its noise enclosure to simulate real world climatic conditions (up to -30º C)
